We listen.

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services sought the complete redevelopment of both the northbound and southbound rest areas in East Hanover Township, in an effort to provide more customer-friendly accommodations and ample room for tractor trailer traffic. Warehaus was selected to provide civil engineering services for the redevelopment of the entire northbound and southbound rest areas, including new 5,500 sf building, truck parking, vehicle parking, dog area, pedestrian pathways, state inspection lanes for tractor trailers, stormwater management facilities, well water treatment facilities and building.

We design.

The existing rest areas are currently serviced by public sanitary sewer. As part of the redevelopment, a significant portion of the existing sewage lines will be replaced due to the location of the new facility. All applicable utilities needed for the redevelopment are also currently available, including underground electric and communication, and private water. Local municipality approvals are required, and Warehaus has secured approvals for the following reports: stormwater management, sanitary sewer facilities planning module and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (General NPDES Permit).

We deliver.

While active for a number of years as funding for the project was secured, the Rest Stops were completed and opened in February 2021.
