Architecture, Historical Restoration
To create a Live | Work | Play environment for the students of the University of Maryland, a multi-family high-rise redevelopment project was proposed, enhancing Baltimore’s historic Westside Neighborhood through responsible investment.
Warehaus collaborated with developers, construction management, and the University of Maryland to navigate the approvals process through stakeholders, including the National Park Service, Market Center National Historic District, and the Baltimore City Urban Design & Architecture Review Panel, or UDARP.
The project included a new residential tower and the facade restoration of the Sons of Italy building, each with unique funding opportunities and regulatory challenges.
The tower was proposed to house 284 market rate apartments and 200 structured parking spaces.
