Engineer of Record

In 2021, Warehaus was selected as the Municipal Engineer for New Freedom Borough, to assist with review of subdivision and land development plans, review text amendments and zoning related items filed by applicants and provide construction oversight for new developments.

Rail Trail Improvements

Warehaus led a project to enhance the Rail Trail crosswalks at Main Street and Franklin Street. The aim was to revitalize the downtown area, focusing on aesthetic and safety improvements. Stamped thermoplastic crosswalks were introduced to enhance the pedestrian pathway visually, while decorative poles were installed to house signage, improving the area’s appearance. Safety enhancements included the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) triggered by infrared bollards, alerting motorists to pedestrian presence. Warehaus provided various services, including securing approvals, preparing construction plans, managing the bid process, and conducting construction inspections to ensure project success.

Paving Project

Warehaus’ collaborated with New Freedom Borough staff to identify and prioritize roads in need of repair. Warehaus managed the public bid process for the 2023 Paving Project, aimed at upgrading the borough’s road infrastructure. The project included infill and overlay work, full-depth shoulder reconstruction, and base repairs along a total length of 2,713 linear feet of roads. Warehaus handled the preparation, submission, and management of the public bid process, including creating construction drawings outlining the project’s scope and work items. They facilitated the selection of the contractor and remained actively engaged in daily inspections to ensure the successful execution and completion of the project, demonstrating a commitment to procedural compliance.
