Warehaus Purchases Office on North George Street

Warehaus AE, a local architecture, engineering and design firm that has called York their home for the past 40 years, made a significant investment in the York community on October 27 when they purchased their office space at 231 North George Street. The purchase signals a significant commitment to the firms’ future, put in motion last year.

Formerly part of the Kinsley Enterprises family of companies, Warehaus took their first step toward a new future when two long-term employees, Troy Bankert, AIA, CEO and David Koratich, COO, took over ownership of the firm in April 2021. Warehaus also right-sized their workspace in the Spring of 2021 with a move to the 1st floor of The W. Latimer Small Building on North George Street.

It was critical that the business remain downtown, continue to support the local community, and find a space that accommodated Warehaus’ unique working style – with areas for team discussions, collaborative pin-up sessions and individual focus. Eighteen months later, the time was right to take ownership of the 231 North George Street office and focus on growing the business in a permanent location.

“Our investment in this office confirms our commitment to our employees and the York community. We are in an environment that is right-sized and brings our team closer together, with all the critical elements that allow our collaborative culture to thrive.” said Bankert.
