The $2 million renovation and construction initiative resulted in an impressive 3,676 sf expansion. This elevated the York County library’s footprint to a total of 13,358 sf. The library’s design prioritizes transparency, emphasizing outward views and public spaces. The children’s area promotes hands-on learning and sensory experiences. The the main browsing area offers diverse study spaces, reading nooks, and meeting spots. A dedicated teen area with collaborative workstations and seating is also included. Open spaces offer better visual quality from the main desk throughout the library. Mechanical systems and restrooms were also upgraded. These enhancements signify the library’s enduring commitment to community service.
