A Workspace Designed for Wagman’s Future

Wagman, a leader in heavy civil and construction services, is relocating its headquarters to 3265 Farmtrail Road, York, PA, to better accommodate its evolving operational needs. The decision to relocate is driven by the need for a more functional, flexible, and cost-effective space that aligns with the company’s long-term vision and the changing nature of the workplace. The new headquarters mixes comfortable elements with an industrial palette – making space to support Wagman Heavy Civil (WHC), Wagman Construction, Inc. (WCI), and associated support services. This project addresses both immediate needs and future growth, ensuring Wagman’s headquarters remains a dynamic hub for its teams.

We listen.

Wagman desires a comfortable workplace for their employees. Design elements that combine steel and exposed ducts with wood and ambient lighting counteract the industrial with a cozy feeling. This infuses the workspace with a sense of comfort and understated elegance. New office types are incorporated to ensure productivity and safety, like flexible work spaces that promote physical space while reducing noise. Glass doors on private offices will open up the workplace. The introduction of “hotel space” allows remote employees to enter the office and be greeted with a clean and safe working environment.

We design.

Along with the introduction of new offices, extra luxuries such as updated bathrooms, a gym/wellness space, informal meeting areas, and a kitchen/breakroom will be added. A new structural entrance canopy, which establishes a clear, welcoming gesture for visitors, will also be added. A gallery that showcases the company’s rich history and achievements will emphasize the legacy and ongoing innovation of Wagman and emphasize the brand.

We deliver.

The building’s mechanical systems remain deliberately exposed, reinforcing the concept of architectural transparency. The organization of HVAC ducts, electrical conduits, and plumbing lines follows a meticulous order, highlighting the role of each system in maintaining the building’s functionality. The new Wagman headquarters will be a testament to the company’s forward-thinking approach to workplace design and its dedication to excellence.
